Chamfered cross self-tapping screw is a kind of self-tapping screw with cross head design and chamfered edge. This design allows the screw to better distribute the pressure and reduce stress concentration when it is stressed, thus improving the service life and safety of the screw. Beyond its fundamental geometry, the M5 flat profile ensures a perfectly flush finish upon installation, eliminating protruding heads that could interfere with moving parts or snag on adjacent materials. When handled, the threads present a sharp, consistent tactile feel, indicative of the precise machining process that ensures immediate material engagement. The surface exhibits a uniform, smooth metallic finish that not only enhances the visual appeal of the final assembly but also provides an initial layer of environmental protection. By effectively managing torque distribution during the driving process, this fastener minimizes the risk of material deformation, ensuring a secure and lasting hold across demanding project requirements.

1. Cruciform head: easy to use a Phillips screwdriver or electric screwdriver for installation and disassembly, improving work efficiency. This deep-recessed cross design maximizes torque transfer while virtually eliminating driver cam-out, protecting both the tool bit and the fastener surface from stripping during rapid assembly operations. The precise fit minimizes operator fatigue during continuous fastening tasks.
2. Chamfering: The edges are chamfered to reduce stress concentration and improve the strength and durability of the screws. As the fastener seats into the substrate, the angled under-head profile gradually displaces material rather than crushing it. This smooth transition prevents micro-cracking in brittle panels and ensures a clean, flush surface integration without requiring secondary countersinking steps.
3. Self-tapping performance: With self-tapping performance, it can automatically penetrate metal plates or other hard materials by rotating the drive head without drilling in advance to achieve fast fixing. Depending on the panel thickness, specific drill point configurations (Tek 1-5) are available. When paired with the recommended operational RPM, the sharp cutting flutes slice through dense substrates cleanly, preventing thread slippage and material snapping, thereby accelerating project timelines.
4. Strong versatility: can adapt to a variety of materials fixed, such as metal, wood, plastic, etc., widely used in various fields. This adaptability is backed by a selection of high-strength core materials, including premium carbon steel and stainless steel. Enhanced by advanced surface treatments like zinc plating and phosphating, these fasteners withstand severe environmental exposure, resisting rust and mechanical wear. Furthermore, strict adherence to DIN, ANSI, and GB manufacturing standards guarantees exact dimensional consistency, ensuring perfect compatibility with complex mechanical assemblies worldwide.

Furniture manufacturing: Various components used to fix furniture, such as drawers, door panels, etc. The flat chamfered head ensures that once driven into wood or composite boards, the surface remains entirely smooth. This prevents internal drawer mechanisms from catching on protruding metal, elevating the tactile quality and functional lifespan of cabinetry and seating structures.
Car repair: For quick repair of broken fenders, doors and other parts. The aggressive thread pitch bites securely into thin sheet metal and automotive plastics, providing a vibration-resistant hold. Mechanics rely on these fasteners to maintain structural integrity under constant dynamic stress and fluctuating temperatures encountered on the road.
Construction: Used to fix wall decoration, roof tiles and other building materials. The self-drilling capability allows workers to rapidly attach drywall directly to metal studs without pilot holes. The phosphated coating options specifically interact well with drywall compounds, resisting corrosion from moisture trapped in plaster.
Electronic equipment: The internal components used to secure electronic equipment, such as circuit boards, housings, etc. The precise dimensional tolerances prevent the stripping of delicate plastic standoffs. The secure seating of the cross head ensures that sensitive internal components remain firmly anchored, protecting intricate circuitry from mechanical shock.
